Priyanka Chopra's television outing Fear Factor — Khatron Ke Khiladi is moving at a snails pace. The third season of the reality show is with Indian and international cricketers as participants.
But till date not a single player has been signed. The reason for the slow movement is due to the turmoil in the countrys cricket scenario after the Indian Premier League- Lalit Modi episode. Couple this with M S Dhonis recent comment that the extensive travelling and partying has taken a toll on the Indian players.
Says a source close to the channel, “ Talks have been on with cricketers. Ever since Priyanka was announced as the shows new host two months ago, negotiations have been on, but no player is on board yet.” 16 episodes The National Awardwinning actress is slated to do a start- tofinish shoot in July for the 16 episodes that will go on air in October.
Adds the source, “ Several names were to be picked from the various IPL teams. But the happenings towards the end of the tourney threw everything off- gear.” As reported PC and Fear Factor take to Brazil ( Hitlist, March 23), Colors has already done a recce of the areas where the show will be shot.
Copacabana in Brazil is one of the spots selected. Akshay Kumar hosted two seasons of the show which was set in South Africa. With Priyanka, the channel decided to explore another location.
FEAR CALLING
Among the several names that have been approached for Khatron Ke Khiladi include Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Virendra Sehwag, Adam Gilchrist and Brett Lee.
