Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor who got himself a three-bedroom apartment in a decent upper-middle class suburb is on the lookout for a new home, says a media report.
Says Shahid, “I'm looking out for a six to seven bedroom apartment because I want to make a gymnasium at home. Also I need a couple of guest bedrooms. Ideally I would like a sea-facing apartment just like my current one, but that is very hard to find. So I'm biding my time.”
Shahid has been meeting property dealers, but sources say that one of the reasons why he is dragging his feet as far as purchasing his new home goes is because his father lives in the same building. And Shahid likes that additional sense of security of having his dad at yelling distance.
But a friend of Shahid says that the actor is reluctant to part with his current flat because his “good friend” Priyanka Chopra occupies three flats in the next wing of his current complex. And whatever Shahid may say he apparently likes his neighbour a lot.
Shahid, however, dismisses this talk. “Listen for the first year-and-a- half after she moved into this building, I didn't bump into Priyanka even once. So it's silly to assume that I don't want to give up this house because she is my neighbour.”
When asked why PC and he were constantly playing hide and seek with the media, Shahid said, “There are a few things that I will never discuss in print and one of that is what I do in my personal life. Of course, if I am committed to someone fully, then I have no problems coming out in the open with my relationship. But otherwise there is no reason for me to be accountable to the media for everything I do. Priyanka and I are neighbours and we're friends. Let's leave it at that.”
