New Delhi: Preity Zinta accused former boyfriend and business tycoon Ness Wadia of sexually molesting during an IPL match held on May 30.

The actress, also the co-owner of Kings XI Punjab cricket team, has filed a police complaint against Ness Wadia, alleging that he molested, abused and threatened her inside Wankhede stadium in south Mumbai.

The Mumbai police officials confirmed the late night on Friday, that the actress approached them to register an FIR against Ness Wadia.

Maharashtra States Women Commission has demanded immediate arrest of businessman Ness Wadia, following the uproar.

On May 30th, an IPL match was played between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede stadium. Reportedly, during the match, when Preity was at the Garware Pavillion, Ness reportedly accosted her and also bad mouthed her in front of many people including her team mates, friends and fans.

She gave a written complaint following which a first information report or FIR was registered against Wadia under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), police sources added.

In the FIR it has been mentioned that Ness Wadia was harassing Preity Zinta despite their relationship having ended. The actress and the businessman had broken their five-year long relationship sometime back.

Shocked at the complaint, Ness issued a statement saying, "I am shocked at the complaint and the allegations made against me and they were totally false and baseless."

No arrests have been made so far according to the police.

The actor and the businessman had called off their five-year-long relationship in 2009.
