New Delhi: Dancing star-turned-director Prabhu Deva is all set to choreograph the performances by various artistes at the IIFA awards this year.
This will be the first time the “Rowdy Rathore” director will be choreographing star performances as well as performing himself at an awards show.
“Dancing has always been one of my greatest passions and I have always wanted to be part of an IIFA celebration and this is an ideal opportunity to combine the two.
It is going to be a different experience for me personally, choreographing the Bollywood's finest. I'm excited to take on this project.
“The energy on stage is always fascinating; there are so many talented young actors in Bollywood right now and I look forward to working with them,” he said.
The IIFA Weekend will be hosted in Singapore from June 7-9 this year, showcasing the best of Indian film industry on the global dais.
“We are extremely honoured and excited to have Prabhu Deva on board to choreograph this year's IIFA.
He is a sensational dancer and has been recognised as one of the best the Indian film industry has seen,” said Andre Timmins, Director - Wizcraft International Entertainment.
