Earlier, there have been movies that motivated its audience to follow their paths they feel would be fruitful. One by two could be termed as a narration of two such individuals who are determined but are hesitant.
Devika Bhagat who has written for Bachna Ae Haseeno and Ladies vs Ricky Behl, might not enjoy the star power in her directorial debut but this isn't a concern for her. The concern convoys the attempts of linking the events which goes drastically ruined. The two protagonists don't get more than a couple of chances to get into conversation, which implies how smart the director is trying to be but actually is messed up.
