Youth TV show 'Nisha Aur Uske Cousins' to be taken down soon, Ahem Sharma's 'Manmarziyan' to replace the slot
New Delhi: Star Plus' TV show 'Nisha Aur Uske Cousins' will soon be going off-air. The show that was started in August 2014 has reportedly been failed to impress the masses and the channel alike and therefore it will be taken down the next month.
The show conceptualizes a youth story with the focus on its protagonist Nisha and how she deals with several troubles and turmoil coming her way.
While the makers of the show seem disappointed with the channel's decision, they have also said that the show catered to a different subject that had to do with the youth of the country.
A source quoted by a leading daily even claimed that somehow, Indian viewers like to watch that quintessential family drama on screen and therefore a show like 'Nisha Aur Uske Cousins' couldn't impress a large chunk of the audience.
With the show going off-air from April, a new TV show 'Manmarziyan' starring Ahem Sharma will take over the slot. Ahem rose to fame from his 'Karna' stint in popular mythological show 'Mahabharat' on the channel.
