Nana Patekar rules out joining politics, asks Raj, Uddhav to join hands

New Delhi, March 1 : Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has renewed his appeal to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray to join hands, but himself ruled out joining active

The actor denied media reports that the Indian police has been portrayed in the movie  as helpless, surrendering before Pakistani terrorists. "It's a false charge", Patekar said.

About his famed short-temper in the industry, Patekar admitted: "Yes, I am a little short-tempered due to which I have lost some roles. I lost the role in A Wednesday, which was played by Naseeruddin Shah.

"My looks prevented me from playing the conventional hero, but on Smita Patil's insistence, I did Aaj Ki Awaaz. Soon enough, offers started pouring in, and I worked in Ankush, Karamveer, Pratighaat, Salaam Bombay, Trishagni and Sagar Sangam -- the roles were good, but they were not what I was looking for.  Still, I stuck on, and commercial recognition finally came with Parinda".
