The Mumbai drug bust case is taking various twists and turns. In a major setback for Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, a Mumbai court on Friday rejected his bail plea, and of two others who were among the 8 arrested. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate R.M. Nerlikar rejected the bail applications of Aryan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha, on grounds of "maintainability," upholding the contentions of the legal team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The developments came a day after all the eight accused were sent to judicial custody, and they shifted to the regular prisons from the NCB lockup. Meanwhile, various celebrities as well as the actor's fans are pouring in support not just over social media but also outside his house, Mannat.

    Shekhar Suman has come out in support of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan after their son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in an alleged drugs party on a cruise ship on October 2 night. Taking to his (unverified) Twitter handle, Shekhar wrote, "My heart goes out to Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan. As a parent, I can totally understand what they are going through. It's not easy for parents to go through this kind of torment and ordeal no matter what."

    He also recalled how SRK personally came to meet him after the death of his 11-year-old son. "When I lost my elder son Aayush at age 11, Shahrukh Khan was the only actor who came to me personally while I was shooting at Film City, hugged me and conveyed his condolences. I am extremely pained to know what he must be going through as a father," Shekhar added.

    The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday said all the allegations levelled against the agency in connection with the cruise ship raid and alleged recovery of drugs, in which Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was arrested, are "baseless, motivated afterthoughts and prejudicial".

    NCB Director, Mumbai Zone, Sameer Wankhede said the anti-drugs agency works professionally. "We do not see any political party and religion. We do our job professionally," he added.
