Co-written by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, we expected a blast from them but it all went haywire. Except for the last few minutes, where they unfold the very predictable mystery, the entire flick drags you to a feeling of ennui and disappointment. It may be their way of making a suspense thriller, but c'mon, we have seen so many better flicks similar to it.
As mentioned earlier, Talaash is not one of the best suspense thrillers and it does not bear the perfectionist stamp from Aamir. Yes, we were disappointed as the hype that was made up, didn't stand up to it. The flick was set to release last year but now we have a hunch why it got postponed for a late release.
But apart from revealing an open mystery, the ongoing Surjan's parallel story unfolds the truth lying within. An attempt to look beyond the real and obvious is wise. You might not get tempted but still a belief in those who are resting in peace, but are still nearby you might find a place in your heart.
