Malaika Zayed Khan has got a new tattoo. This time around, it's her son's name Zayed Khan's wife Malaika has had herself inked. The two tattoos at the nape of her neck read Zayed and Zidaan (her son's name).
The star wife was spotted at the Laila Khan-Farhan Furniturewalla wedding reception over the weekend flaunting her tattoos in an off-shoulder gown. And as her hair was tied up in a chignon, the tats were clearly visible.
Says an onlooker, "Malaika has always been low-profile. So not many know about her tattoos. In B-Town, it is the guys who are prolific about getting inked."
Says Malaika, "I had Zidaan's name inked recently at Aalim's studio in Versova. There was always this desire to tattoo my child's name on my body. Zayed's name was done a while back at Funky Monkey in Bandra. When I got Zidaan's tattoo done, I touched up Zayed's name as it appeared faded."Adds the star biwi, "If I get another child, I will have his or her name tattooed too!"
But Malaika refuses to let Zayed get inked. Getting a tattoo done is a painful process; it is sheer torture for the three to four hours it takes to be done. When Zayed wanted to have it done with my name, I told him not to as I have already borne the pain to proclaim my love for him. I don't want him to go through the torture too."
