Mumbai, May 8: The release date of Varun Dhawan-starrer “Main Tera Hero” has been locked. It will come out April 4 next year.
Produced by Ekta Kapoor and directed by Varun's father, David Dhawan, the film goes on the floors this June.
David is known for making comedy films like "Coolie No.1", "Hero No. 1", "Deewana Mastana", "Biwi No.1" and "Haseena Maan Jaayegi" while Varun made his Bollywood debut with “Student of the Year” (SOTY).
“‘Main Tera Hero' is one of our most commercial scripts. An out and out youth and family entertainer peppered with the right dose of romance,” said Alpana Mishra, chief executive officer, Balaji Motion Pictures, in a statement.
“Varun has amassed an incredible following post ‘SOTY' amongst the teenagers and his father is the best when it comes to delivering family entertainers. We are super excited to bring the family together,” she added.
