New Delhi: As expected, the Ram Navmi holiday proved favourable for ‘Main Tera Hero', as the film managed to escalate Rs 60 lakh from Monday's collection of Rs 4.20 cr nett.
The Varun Dhawan starrer on Tuesday made Rs 4.80 cr in India turning the five day collection to Rs 31.73 cr.
“MainTeraHero Fri 6.60 cr, Sat 8.03 cr, Sun 8.10 cr, Mon 4.20 cr, Tue 4.80 cr. Total: Rs 31.73 cr nett. India biz... Very good!”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.
Varun, the star of this comedy entertainer, has attributed the success to his father David Dhawan. A leading daily quoted Varun as saying, “Guess audiences were looking for brand David Dhawan to entertain them on the screen and we gave it to them.”
Looking at the trends, the flick is expected to recover its production cost of Rs 40 cr by first week and might cross Rs 50 cr mark by second weekend.
However, the celebration has already begun and Ekta Kapoor will throw a grand party tonight to celebrate the success of both of her flicks including Ragini MMS 2.
“Double celebration tonite! Ekta Kapoor to celebrate the success of RaginiMMS2 and MainTeraHero with a grand party”, confirms Adarsh.
