Shimla: Television artiste Nitish Bharadwaj, who had played the role of Krishna in TV serial 'Mahabharata', will be back on stage for a two-day theatre festival here playing the role of Krishna in Atul Satya Koushik's play 'Chakravyuh' on August 9.
The Film and Theatre Society is organising the Shimla Theatre Festival on August 8 and 9 and the other play to be staged as part of the event is 'Wo Lahore', also written by Koushik, said Shakti Singh, the organiser of the festival, which is to be held at the famous Gaiety Theatre here.
Both plays are of 100 minutes duration. Chakravyuh is an attempt to present the eponymous episode from the epic, Mahabharata, in a new manner.
'Wo Lahore' is a musical drama set in the middle of 20th century India. It is the story of an ordinary woman, a mother of three sons, who tries to keep her family intact amidst events unfolding around her.
