New Delhi, June 5: It's not just popularity and intoxicating tunes but also the magic of May's last week and June's first week which proved lucky for ‘YJHD'. Its been examined that the flicks released during these hours has been tremendously hit all over.
Certainly there are factors which made Ranbir-Deepika's ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' a run away hit grossing Rs. 87.11 crore in the first five days of its release. Ranbir Kapoor Deepika Padukone magical chemistry, Aditya Roy Kapoor over night popularity after ‘Aashiqui 2', Ayan Mukerji's credibility after ‘Wake Up Sid' and rocking music of the flick were at the fore and enough to excite any filmy freak.
But trade Analyst Taran Adarsh says that it the magical May which is key to success of YJHD and other flicks released in this month past years. He tweets “Incidentally, Hum Tum (2004), Bunty Aur Babli (2005) and Fanaa (2006) were also released in the last week of May.”
Giving an analysis of the last four years he tweets “On 4th June 2010, RAAJNEETI emerged a big grosser. On 3rd June 2011, READY took the box-office by storm. On 1st June 2012, ROWDY RATHORE set new record at BO. Last week of May/first week of June - Here's yet another week producers can eye while planning the release of their film/s. Think about it!”
YJHD has already collected Rs 87.11 cr within first five days starring Fri 19.45 cr, Sat 20.16 cr, Sun 22.5 cr, Mon 13 cr, Tue 12 cr. Total: 87.11 cr. With this Rs. 100 crore within first week of its release is very much on papers.
