New Delhi: After a fantastic two days, superstar Rajininkanth's ‘Lingaa' has wrapped up its first weekend by entering straight into Rs 100 cr club. Lingaa has become the fastest Tamil flick to do so.

Yes, if the leading daily is to be believed then the movie that also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty has made Rs 100 cr club with its third day collection, however the final figures are yet to be compiled.

While on its first day, the movie made a record opening earning of Rs 37 cr, the second day however witnessed a bit downfall in its collection, still it fetched a good amount of Rs 33 cr worldwide.

The movie is not only faring well in India but also at overseas too. The film has crossed 1 million mark at the US box office from 140 screens. The Rajini-starrer earned $1.205 million in three days, including Thursday premiere shows, at the US box office.

The film has emerged as the highest grossing Tamil flick of 2014 beating "Kochadaiiyaan" and Vijay's ‘Kaththi' collections. It is all set to beat Kamal Haasan's "Vishwaroopam" collections and take the second spot in the list of all-time highest grossing Tamil films in the US.

The movie has also joined the top five biggest openers' list of Indian movies. Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year rules the list with Rs 44.97 cr and following is Ajay Devgn's Singham Returns, which earned Rs 32.09 cr on opening day. Hrithik Roshan's ‘Bang Bang' takes the third spot in the list with Rs 27.54 cr while Salman Khan's ‘Kick' is at fourth position with Rs 26.40 cr nett on Day 1. Lingaa takes the fifth spot with Rs 22 cr collection on Day 1 in India.
