Krrish 3 movie review: A thrilling experience

You will get more than what you expected from a typical Indian superhero flick. Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Vivek OberoiDirector: Rakesh RoshanRating: ***1/2You trust me or not but Rakesh Roshan is only one such genius in Indian Cinema who can move you with an equation of thunderous battle and emotion in a superhero flick. Flicks like Krrish couldn't be made in Hollywood. It was to be in Bollywood and it was to be senior Roshan to invade it.By going through the entire two hour thirty minutes runtime you wouldn't stop admiring the director who thinks so differently to not just thrill you with his hardcore action but also arouse a genuine sentiment for the entire battle.The super scientific non-fictional work pursued in Bollywood and Hollywood flicks always has been fascinating. The unthinkable design to manipulate one's subconscious in no doubt is intriguing and adorable. We got our first superhero in form of Krrish and we loved him. Thereafter began a new era of superhero flicks but unfortunately all others faltered in their execution. However, the artificial special effects won all the applause but if you are admiring them, then surely narrator hasn't done his job. But after watching Krrish 3 you can't complain this man Rakesh Roshan for that. He begins the narration through Amitabh Bachchan's voice who takes you to ‘Koi Mil Gaya' days from where all began to finally how Krishna (Hrithik Roshan) became Krrish.Then bringing us to present we are now introduced to a Krishna, who is now married to Priya (Priyanka Chopra) but is struggling to get a stability in his job and all credit goes to his hidden superhero avatar ‘Krrish'. His father Rohit (obviously played by Hrithik Roshan again) is now working as a scientist in a Mumbai laboratory.But down in Namibia there is one evil scientist Kaal (Vivek Oberoi), who is a handicap but is gifted with superpowers. Kaal wants to spread a deadly virus across the globe which will destroy the humanity from its root. He isn't alone but has an army of Maanvar (mutants) including Kaya (Kangana), Rhinoman, Antman, Cheetah woman, Frogman. Kaal commences his ride of destruction with the second most populated country in the world ‘India'. So, with this you must have got an idea that our Indian superhero Krrish will have to save his nation. The story might have a bit desi appeal but let me tell you it all blends so masterfully that you are left awe struck. What could be better served by Rakesh Roshan who creates so intense chemistry between father-son duo of Rohit and Krrish through one actor-Hrithik. The final scene among others between the two gives a lump in your throat. The melodrama too at few sequences deserves a space because the action following them is so hard-hitting that it complements the emotion attached to it. You feel pity when Rohit is surrounded by Maanvars and cheer finally when Krrish comes to rescue him. You feel the pain when your superhero is demolished again and again by Kaal. But when they finally face-off equivalently it's all air crashing, mirror-breaking, spine-chilling and destructive “Man of steel” sort of experience. However, the initial half an hour is bit tiring, the song sequence between Kangana Ranaut and Hrithik Roshan seems forced, Kaal's link with Rohit is dramatic but all these fewer blemishes are cleverly painted by the director and the lead actor.We couldn't have asked more from Hrithik Roshan who is a master in his three characters. He perfectly slips once again into the suit of Krrish. He brings innocence into the character of Rohan and is tempting as a loving husband Krishna. It's hard to imagine Krrish without him. His eyes speak louder than his words. Priyanka Chopra supports him well. She charms in every scene. Kangana Ranaut proves worthy while playing a vamp. Most of them would hate her for her negative act and that is her victory. Vivek Oberoi is great as a supervillain. Initially he just speaks and later when he stands on his foot he makes the world bow down. Rajpal Yadav's cameo is good. However, the songs by Rajesh Roshan aren't great while listening but look good when seen on screens. Background score by Salim-Sulaiman is brilliant. The score accompanies the sequences perfectly.I'll go with three and a half stars for super exciting Krrish 3. You will get more than what you expected from a typical Indian superhero flick. Hope they return sooner with the next installment.
