An actor-singer-director Farhan Akhtar has completed 39 years of his life on January 9 and with his most awaited flick of the year ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', this universal talent seems to win the race and leave behind all the superstars.Born to writer Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, Farhan Akhtar is aroused as one of the most brilliant and creative directors, actors, and screen writers today.After pursuing his schooling from Maneckji Cooper School, Juhu, Farhan later joined HR College, for a degree in Commerce, which he left in the second year. He entered in the Film Industry as an trainee with cinematographer-director, Manmohan Singh at the age 17 for ‘Lamhe'. Later he assisted director Pankaj Parashar in film ‘Himalayputra‘, followed by working in a television production house for three years doing various jobs.Who can forget the gen-next flick ‘Dil Chahta hai' which revolutionized like anything that year? The flick marked the directorial and writing debut for Farhan Akhtar. It was a critical and commercial success, especially amongst the younger generation.Though Farhan's next project, ‘Lakshya' was not a box office success but his direction and screenplay was appreciated by the critics.
