After pursuing his schooling from Maneckji Cooper School, Juhu, Farhan later joined HR College, for a degree in Commerce, which he left in the second year.
He entered in the Film Industry as an trainee with cinematographer-director, Manmohan Singh at the age 17 for ‘Lamhe'. Later he assisted director Pankaj Parashar in film ‘Himalayputra‘, followed by working in a television production house for three years doing various jobs.
