Kolkata: After being in the pipeline for quite some time, the biopic planned on celebrated playback singer Kishore Kumar's colourful life has once again been put on hold, actor Ranbir Kapoor said here today.
"We have kept it on hold for now as we want to do full justice to his life. We are working on the script and hopefully after we finish the shooting of 'Jagga Jasoos' we will start working on it. It will take time," Ranbir said.
Born as Abhas Kumar Ganguly, Kishore Kumar was a popular film singer and crooned in various languages including Bengali, Hindi, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Oriya, apart from acting in a number of movies.
"I am very excited about the film as playing a real man's life on camera is very challenging," Ranbir added.
Ranbir has given many solo hits like "Rockstar", "Barfi!" and "Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani" and asked if he is giving a tough competition to the Khans of Bollywood, Ranbir said, "I can never compete with them. They are the true superstars."
His upcoming film 'Besharam' is releasing tomorrow and in the film he is sharing the screen space with his parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor.
"And my biggest fan is my mom who encourages and supports me all the time. My father is my favourite," he said.
