The action film that released on July 25, got off to a flying start. Since then Kick has continued to get cash registers ringing and is now set to surpass the lifetime box office collection of Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express which stands at Rs 226.70 crore nett.
Kick has not only emerged as Salman Khan's highest grosser at the domestic box office, but has managed to be the actor's highest earner in international markets too.
Kick is now Salman's highest grossing film internationally. Adarsh tweeted, “#Kick emerges Salman Khan's HIGHEST GROSSER in international markets. Total till Fri [Week 3] – $ 10.75 million + ⏍.74 cr]. SUPERB.”
On the domestic front, the movie has beaten Shah Rukh Khan's highest grosser Chennai Express' record of 226.70 crore, while on the international front; the film is aiming to beat SRK's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, which made a total lifetime business of $10,770,000.
The movie made a nett India total so far of 216.97 crores, which takes its gross amount to 288.50 crores. And by the end of its 3rd Friday, Kick managed to rake in $ 10.75 Million i.e. Rs. 65.74 crore gross from the overseas box office.
Kick now stands at a worldwide gross total of 354.24 crores, which is record breaking.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#Kick [Week 3] Fri 1.97 cr, Sat 2.94 cr. Grand total – 220.02 cr nett. India biz.”
Akshay Kumar's laugh riot ‘Entertainment' opened well on the box office. Also starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Sonu Sood, Johnny Lever, Prakash Raj and Krushna Abhishek, Entertainment marks the directorial debut of known writer duo Sajid-Farhad and has released in around 3200 screens all over.
“Entertainment opened in UAE-GCC on Thursday and has collected approx AED 475,000 [Rs 79.37 lacs] on its opening day. Good!”, wrote Adarsh.
