New Delhi: Kick has completed its glorious two weeks at box office with Rs 280.18 cr nett worldwide. On its second Thursday, the flick made a rock-steady collection of Rs 3.80 cr and tallied the two weeks total to Rs 215.11 cr nett in India.
“Kick [Week 2] Fri 9.22 cr, Sat 10.62 cr, Sun 14.18 cr, Mon 5.08 cr, Tue 4.21 cr, Wed 3.91 cr, Thu 3.80 cr. Total: Rs 215.11 cr nett”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.
At international theatres, surprisingly Kick witnessed a good growth on Thursday garnering over Rs 2.22 cr taking the overseas total to Rs 65.07 cr.
“Kick 2-week total from international markets: $ 10.6 million+ [Rs 65.07 cr]. EXCELLENT!”, confirms Adarsh.
From today the two-weeks old Kick's collection are surely going to diminish but at what pace or rate that will depend upon Akshay Kumar's laugh riot “Entertainment”.
Also starring Tamannaah Bhatia, Sonu Sood, Johnny Lever, Prakash Raj and Krushna Abhishek, Entertainment marks the directorial debut of known writer duo Sajid-Farhad and has released in around 3200 screens all over.
According to a leading daily the flick has opened well and more rush would be witnessed in evening and night shows. As per Taran Adarsh, in UAE and GCC, Entertainment has opened well and has raked in Rs 79.37 lacs there.
“Entertainment opened in UAE-GCC on Thursday and has collected approx AED 475,000 [Rs 79.37 lacs] on its opening day. Good!”, wrote Adarsh.
Meanwhile Kick is eyeing Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Chennai Express' whose lifetime collection of Rs 226.70 cr looks achievable. Kick in the second week collected Rs 51.02 cr nett in India and looking at that, collecting Rs 10 cr or so won't be a big trouble for the flick in the coming week.
If it takes lesser time then there would be a hope for Kick to beat Hrithik Roshan's ‘Krrish 3' (Rs 240.50 cr) which is the second highest grosser of all time in Bollywood while Aamir Khan's ‘Dhoom 3' (Rs 280.25 cr) will continue to rule at box office.
Here is the two-week breakthrough of Kick's collection in India-
Fri 26.40 cr, Sat 27.15 cr, Sun 30.18 cr, Mon 14.41 cr, Tue 28.89 cr, Wed 21.66 cr, Thu 15.4 cr, Week 2 Fri 9.22 cr, Sat 10.62 cr, Sun 14.18 cr, Mon 5.08 cr, Tue 4.21 cr, Wed 3.91 cr, Thu 3.80 cr. Total: Rs 215.11 cr nett.
