New Delhi: Eid on Tuesday brought a major chunk of collection for Salman Khan's ‘Kick' which made a brilliant Rs 28.89 cr nett in India. With this Kick has broken Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express' record of five days collection.
“Salmania grips the nation! #Kick does ENORMOUS biz on Eid. Collects Rs 28.89 cr nett on Tue. AWESOME!”, confirms trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.
Chennai Express within five days of its release minted Rs 124.54 cr nett (including paid preview business Rs 6.75 cr) while Salman Khan's action drama by Tuesday garnered Rs 127.03 cr nett in India.
“#Kick day-wise actuals: Fri 26.40 cr, Sat 27.15 cr, Sun 30.18 cr, Mon 14.41 cr, Tue 28.89 cr. Total: Rs 127.03 cr nett. India biz. WOW!”, tweets Adarsh.
Aamir Khan's ‘Dhoom 3' is leading ahead in race with Rs 149.46 cr while Hrithik Roshan's ‘Krrish 3' follows it with Rs 133.87 cr collection within five days.
Salman Khan's very own ‘Ek Tha Tiger' took five days to hit the ton grossing Rs 100.16 cr nett in India.
Eid also made him the king of Rs 100 cr club. It's seven in the row for the superstar whose flicks namely Dabangg (Rs 143 cr), Ready (Rs 122 cr), Bodyguard (Rs 145 cr) Ek Tha Tiger (199.6 cr), Dabangg 2 (Rs 157.70cr) and Jai Ho (Rs 116 cr) have achieved this milestone.
But will it be Rs 200 cr for Kick? It won't be that tough for this Salman Khan starrer since there is no big release this week, which will give a clear way to this action drama. However, next week it will be Akshay Kumar's ‘Entertainment' but till then we wish Salman Khan to ‘Kick' the Rs 200 cr mark.
