The report said, director Anurag Kashyap wanted Katrina to do the lead role in his dream project Bombay Velvet, but Katrina declined citing date problems. The role ultimately went to Anushka Sharma.
“A film like Bombay Velvet needs a lot of time and attention. The deal wouldn't have worked out if her time was limited,” the source said.
