The FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa (June 11-July 11) is the biggest event in the world sporting calendar.
Bollywood music composers Salim-Sulaiman will be composing a song and performing live at the opening and closing ceremonies of the gigantic sporting event with South African singers Loyiso Bala and Eric Wainaina.
The crème de la crème is Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor is in talks with the FIFA event managers to prepare a music video for the FIFA event alongside Hollywood hottie Matt Damon.
The action around this music video is big, with the budget surpassing anything that Bollywood has ever seen or done before. And besides Karina, other Hollywood superstars who will participate in the video include Kevin Spacey and Jessica Alba.
Kareena, who is participating in the last day shoot of Karan Johar's remake of Step Mom at a Mumbai studio, is said to be currently working out her dates, costumes and other details with her core team.
“Expect an announcement with all details shortly. The Hollywood-Bollywood relationship is getting stronger with each passing day. And this video could well be one of the majorly touted ones since it carries heavyweights from both sides,” said an insider.
