Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor, who returned from London on Tuesday morning, was summoned by the customs authorities for leaving her baggage behind at the airport, reports Mumbai Mirror.
An insider said, "Baggage often takes time to arrive on the conveyor belt and actors are often accompanied by their staff. Since it was taking time Kareena left, asking her staff to collect it instead.''
But the actress, who had reached home, eventually had to return to collect her baggage personally after she got a call from the airport from Superintendent Atul Sharma.
A source said, "She came back with her boyfriend Saif Ali Khan to collect her stuff.
Quite a few top actors including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan don't really wait to collect their luggage at the airport. So we wonder why Kareena was summoned by the customs.''
But some others also say that quite a few actors religiously wait to collect their baggage, and that we shouldn't really let them off just because they are celebrities.
Either way, Kareena Kapoor remained unavailable for comment. When contacted, Atul Sharma first said he was not aware of the incident.
When we told him that we were aware of the incident, and that he was present on duty and had summoned the actress back to the airport, he said, "I don't want to say anything about it."
