New Delhi: The hit show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil' contributed highly in making Kapil Sharma one of India's most loved celebrities and a household name. An abrupt end to the show broke the hearts of millions of his fans who tuned into Colors every weekend to laugh their guts out. Sadly, the stint which lasted for almost two and a half years came to an end.
Nevertheless, every end marks a new beginning and Kapil Sharma too is heading towards another chapter. According to media reports, Kapil will host a new comedy show titled ‘Comedy Style' on Sony channel.
What's more? His on-screen family will join him too! This means Ali Asgar as Dadi, Kiku Sharda as Palak, Sunil Grover as Guthi, Sumona as Manju, Upasana Singh as Bua and Chandan Prabhakar as Raju are all coming back together to entertain you once more.
Rumours of Kapil taking the show forward on another channel have been rife since Colors and the comedian decided to part ways. A tweet by Sunil Grover saying how he couldn't wait to apply makeup has now fuelled these rumours further.
Comdy Nights With Kapil, went off air amidst a lot of controversies after Kapil and Colors hit a rough patch. The CNWK team has claimed that the channel deliberately started a new show, ‘Comedy Nights Bacaho' and also diverted celebrity guests to it in order to deliberately hamper their ratings.
Meanwhile, Colors head honcho Raj Nayak recently asserted that Kapil breached the contract by hosting events in different channels and his actions forced them to put a full stop on the show.
Comedian Krushna Abhishek's show, ‘Comedy Nights Live', which replaced CNWK has not been received very well by viewers. With Kapil already having an upper hand over Krushna Abhishek, it will be worth seeing who wins the battle.
