New Delhi: Remember a scene in Queen where Kangana Ranaut kisses an Italian chef played by Marco Canadea. While her performance in this women-centric flick won her accolades, the cute chemistry with Marco tickled funny bones of the moviegoers.
And now it seems the actress has found a new liking in Italy as she has been offered a role by an Italian film director Edorado De Angelis opposite Massimiliano Gallo.
However, according to her interview to a leading daily, the actress is yet to decide but she is excited about it.
"I was offered the lead role opposite Massimiliano. I am still contemplating it because I have almost six projects lined up, and that has me booked till the beginning of 2016”, a leading daily quoted her as saying.
So, the Indian curry is going international and is being cherished with great pleasure. And it's not just an Italian film. Kangana will also be seen in a French movie ‘Divine Lovers' opposite Irrfan Khan.
Coincidently both Kangana and Irrfan's performance in Queen and Lunchbox respectively have been applauded not only by Indian viewers but international audience as well.
Queen directed by Vikas Bahl has been the longest running Bollywood flick at overseas and same goes for the Ritesh Batra's directorial.
From Ritesh Batra's flick comes another actress Nimrat Kaur who has been roped in an American television thriller ‘Homeland'. The actress will be seen in some episodes of the popular shows opposite the ‘Mad Men' actor Mark Moses.
Bobby Jasoos' actor Ali Fazal in another star who will be seen in one of the most successful franchisees ‘Fast and Furious' which is set to release next year.
The increasing demand of Indian actors is truly a positive sign for the future of Indian cinema. Directors like Vikas Bahl and Ritesh Batra with support of big production houses are helping changing the foreign approach towards Bollywood who considers Indian films more often as commercial drama with lesser content.
