New Delhi: Director Kabir Khan, who helmed this year's blockbuster movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan' starring Salman Khan in the lead, is celebrating his birthday today.
He received immense wishes and love from his fans on his birthday. But what made for the most ‘amazing' part of his birthday was that #HappyBirthdayKabirKhan became one of the most followed trends on Twitter.
This was surprising even for the Kabir Khan.
He tweeted this earlier this evening:
Kabir Khan started his career making documentaries. His first feature film debut was in 2006 with Kabul Express which was followed by New York (2009) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012). Though, his last release Phantom fared well at the box office, this was not why he became a household name.

Kabir Khan is known as the director who made Bajrangi Bhaijjaan. The story of a simpleton who crossed border from India to Pakistan with a motive to reunite a six year old with her family. As Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi, audiences loved Salman Khan. Harshaali Malhotra and Nawazuddin Siddiqui made this movie what it was.
The director's new found stardom could be owed to this movie only. No filmmaker has ever portrayed the cross border relations the way he did in BB. Citizens of both the countries wish to see better relationships and Kabir showed them that it is possible.
On his birthday, Kabir Khan also got an adorable wish from Munni to which he responded perfectly.
