Jai Ho movie review: A sure shot entertainer

Jai Ho truly belongs to Salman Khan all the way. A sure shot entertainer this Republic Day. In those, the insanity is taken a few notches higher and suddenly there is a man with certain force to make a big difference which with no surprise ends in his favour. So what is new in Sohail Khan's "Jai Ho"?Surely, the concept is intriguing and it has none other than Salman Khan to lead its way but in terms of innovation it has a limitation. But that doesn't mean that you won't make your way to the theatres. Jai Ho is still a flick, which deserves your attention and marks all attempt to not disappoint you in the end. It has the certain affection, which evokes a thought and doesn't mocks over the sentiments.Jai Agnihotri, an ex-army officer (Salman Khan) has a simple yet meaningful aim to help the needy and encourage them to help the others. On his verge he takes the iron from the state Home minister (Danny Denzongpa) who is miffed by his violent yet noble means to help others. The rivalry takes an ugly shape when his mother (Nadira Babbar) and sister Geeta (Tabu) are targeted. This goes personal and Jai rises above to save his family. Following him is the movement, which is shaping up big.We all are aware about Salman's social service through Being Human. One could easily relate his campaign of helping as many needless as possible in the flick, which is also a platform for some underrated actors who couldn't make big in the industry. There is a chunk of actors namely Genelia D'Souza, Mahesh Thakur, Mahesh Manjrekar, Aditya Panncholi, Sharad Kapoor, Varun Badola, Pulkit Samrat, Suniel Shetty, Ashmit Patel, Bruna Abdullah, Yash Tonk, Sana Khan, which are pasted in every second frame leaving your conscious to recall their last flicks they worked in.Salman's generosity is worth a respect, who didn't care about this drama being semi-disturbed by the mash of so many actors in a side roles, but stood to his commitment of starring them in his flick.But what we don't admire is the thought of helping three helpless people, which takes a backseat in attempt of adding a masala element. There are many songs followed by action sequences. The chain of events connecting each other is awful. But who cares, until you have Salman Khan romancing Daisy Shah, or smashing heads, breaking floors and the limbs of the crooks.No wonder his trademark strip scene to flaunt his brawny body in the climax is worth your money. He still has the same burly and can give any Bollywood hunk a run for the money. Daisy Shah does a good debut with this flick. She displays acting prowess in all the scenes she enters in. Tabu as an encouraging sister is good. Danny recreates his 'Ghatak' terror but doesn't get many frames to maintain it. Other actors as mentioned before are equally well in their roles.But Salman Khan takes the lead among all. His generosity and simplicity wins you over and his aggression, which is his trademark never, goes unnoticed.Music by Sajid-Wajid is good and background score by Sandeep Shirodkar is brilliant.
