New Delhi, March 5: The item number is a hit formula in Bollywood and adding to list of those flicks is Prabhu Deva's “Ramaiya Vastavaiya” which will feature the hot Srilankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez in a desi item number.
Since, the item numbers performed by the Srilankan import including ‘aapka kya hoga' in Housefull and the recent ‘Lat lag gayi' in Race 2 have been hit, so we could expect yet another to complete a hat trick.
The actress will don a desi avatar with designer outfits by Manish Malhotra who was also behind Kareena Kapoor's Fevicol Se look.
Jacqueline's item song is titled ‘Jaadu Ki Jhappi De De Tu Abhi' is shot in the mustard fields of Punjab's Kiri Afgana village near Chandigarh
According to the producer Ramesh Taurani, the item number is a travel song but unlike the famous Chaiyyan Chaiyyan. Ramaiya Vastavaiya will launch Kumar Taurani's son Girish Taurani in Bollywood. The movie stars Shruti Haasan in the lead opposite him.
