Mumbai, May 7: Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, who will step into the shoes of Rekha to play a chirpy carefree young girl in the "Khubsoorat" remake, says she is completely in awe of the "Umrao Jaan" actress.
"I am completely obsessed with Rekha. I love her dramatic eyes and red lips," she told reporters here Monday.
She unveiled the L'Or Sunset Collection and Bollywood inspired looks for Cannes film festival at event. The actress has six looks to choose from for the festival, which includes dramatic eyes and red lips.
Talking about her approach towards makeup, she said: "I love Kajal and eye liner. I feel that dramatic eyes look amazing."
"For me, beauty is what is reflected from the inside... it is an expression, which has to come from inside. I feel that emotions make a person beautiful. I am an average looking girl, but when I smile, I look prettier," she added.
Directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, "Khubsoorat" was made in 1980 and starred Rekha and Rakesh Roshan along with Dina Pathak, known for playing the strict family head, while Ashok Kumar was seen as her husband and an indulgent father.
The new version is being made by Sonam's actor-father Anil Kapoor and directed by Shashanka Ghosh.
