New Delhi: Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is keeping the cash registers ringing at box office in weekdays with a rock steady collection. This Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer after collecting Rs 33.74 cr in its first weekend witnessed a downfall on Monday with a business of Rs 5.78 cr but remained stable on Tuesday where it earned Rs 5.23 cr.
“HSKD is ROCK-STEADY on Tue. Fri 9.02 cr, Sat 11.25 cr, Sun 13.46 cr, Mon 5.78 cr, Tue 5.23 cr. Total: Rs 44.74 cr nett. India biz. SUPER!”, tweets trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.
The flick has already recovered its production cost of Rs 29 cr (including promotions and advertisements) and within a week the Rs 50 cr mark looks to be accomplished. With no major competition last week, HSKD is sailing safely at the box office. However, Lai Bhaari has brought a substantial difference in its collection in Maharashtra since the Marathi language worked in favour of this Riteish Deshmukh flick.
“LaiBhaari Fri 3.10 cr, Sat 3.60 cr, Sun 3.85 cr, Mon 2.15 cr, Tue 1.50 cr. Total: Rs 14.20 cr. Despite heavy rains. AWESOME!”, confirms Adarsh.
Next week it's Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali's ‘Hate Story 2' going to hit the theatres. Obviously the screens are going to get divided and how much its going to affect the business, we'll have to wait and see.
But all eyes are all on Salman Khan's much anticipated flick ‘Kick' which is expected to bring a storm like never before at box office.
