New Delhi: Yes, you read it right. The screen counts for Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Bang Bang' is almost three times more than Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor's ‘Haider'.
According to a leading daily, the Sidharth Anand's directorial is going to enjoy over 3500 screens in India while Vishal Bhardwaj's directorial is going hit at just 1200 screens.
However, the difference in the number of screens was expected but not as it's stated in the daily news. There is no doubt that Hrithik's star power is larger than that of Shahid Kapoor while his flick too is in a lot of buzz so it was obvious for Bang Bang to have an upper hand.
Both the stars have left no stone unturned to promote their respective flicks at numerous places but as speculated before, Bang Bang seem to be the clear winner at box office with the massive number of screen counts.
Both single screens theatres and multiplexes will be running just these two flicks in the coming week taking off earlier releases like ‘Khoobsurat', Daawat-e-Ishq, Desi Kattey among many others.
Moreover, the extended weekend will help boost up the business as both of these movies are releasing on a Thursday following a national holiday for Gandhi Jayanti. With Dushehra and Bakra-Eid on Friday and Saturday, the Bang Bang will go on to mint gold while Haider too will do a satisfactory business.
Looking at the buzz, more viewers are expected to go in for Bang Bang. However, Bhardwaj's flicks are always followed by a loyal and a niche audience so there is no doubt they would go in for this Shakespeare's novel adaptation.
Haider is a masterpiece by Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor but the shift of the viewers towards this movie will more or less depend upon the non-ticket availability of Bang Bang or bad word of mouth for it. Since, action movies have always found a mass audience, with Hrithik's magnetic presence Bang Bang is surely going to go big.
