New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Hema Malini has given a very strange advice to girls after Mumbai gangrape.
According to sources, Hema Malini has advised girls not to move alone in the city. She has also quoted example from Shree Bhagvad Gita, saying,"Dropadi ko sanktak ke samay madad karne ke liye khud bhagwan Krishan prakat hue, lekin aaj vo stithi nahi hai, isliye apni raksha khud karni hogi (Lord Shri Krishna helped Dropadi at the time, when she was in trouble, but today that's not possible so we have to defend ourselves).
At a time when women in the country are demanding more protection and safety for themselves and a change in perception of the mindset of the administrators and the society as a whole, this suggestion by the BJP MP might be seen as ill-timed.
