New Delhi: The five days of ‘Happy New Year' have been money minting days not only in domestic box office but also at overseas. The Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer that had an earth-shattering opening day has grossed Rs 255.5 cr worldwide within five days of its release.

The dance-comedy entertainer with around 6000 screens all over is capitalizing over the Shah Rukh Khan's fan base across the globe and will do a rock-steady collection in its second week too.

However, the nett collection in India is recorded at Rs 136.86 cr according to a leading daily website Koimoi but the gross collection is just about to touch the Rs 200 cr mark.

The domestic five days gross total is Rs 197 cr while from overseas this Farah Khan directorial has earned Rs 58.50 cr thereby it takes the worldwide total to Rs 255.50 cr gross.

Aamir Khan's Dhoom 3 tops the chart both in terms of nett and gross collection. The movie net domestic total is Rs 284.27 cr while the worldwide gross collection goes up to Rs 542 cr.

Happy New Year with its collection has marched into top ten list of all time biggest grosser shifting Shah Rukh Khan's very own Jab Tak Hai Jaan (Rs 241 cr gross) at number 11.

As per trends, the movie which also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaah Shah, earned Rs 11.50 cr nett in India on Wednesday, which takes the six days domestic total to Rs 148.36 cr.

Comparing it with the other blockbusters, HNY is now shifted to no 3 after Dhoom 3 and Salman Khan starrer ‘Kick' with Rs 174.97 cr in Rs 148.66 cr nett collection respectively in India.  

Hrithik-Priyanka's ‘Krrish 3' takes fourth spot with the collection of Rs 139.54 cr nett in India within same time period while Shah Rukh Khan's action-comedy ‘Chennai Express' is at fifth position since it did business of Rs 137.1 cr (including paid preview collection).
