New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's magical chemistry in ‘Happy New Year' is keeping the cash registers ringing at box office and within five days of its release the movie has minted massive Rs 138.86 cr nett in India.
According to leading Bollywood website, the movie witnessed a further drop on Tuesday however, not at that massive rate with which Monday collection was recorded. While on Monday this Farah Khan directorial fetched Rs 15 cr, on Tuesday it garnered Rs 12 cr nett in India.
With this, the movie has surpassed the lifetime collection of Salman Khan's Dabangg (Rs 138 cr) and Akshay Kumar's Rowdy Rahore (Rs 133.25 cr) to stand at no.12 spot in all time collection list.
Comparing with other biggies in terms of its five days collection, Happy New Year stands second after Aamir Khan's ‘Dhoom 3' which minted Rs 149.46 within same time period.
Krrish 3 takes third position with Rs 133.87 cr collection in India while Salman Khan's Kick which garnered Rs 127.03 cr nett is at no. four in the list.
Shah Rukh's very own ‘Chennai Express' within five days of its release minted Rs 124.54 cr nett (including paid preview business Rs 6.75 cr).
Rohit Shetty directorial Singham Returns earlier this year garnered Rs 100.68 cr in five days in India. Bang Bang Rs within five days its release raked in Rs 109.49 cr nett in India.
By today, the movie which also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood in pivotal roles must take over Bodyguard and this year's release ‘Singham Returns' lifetime collection. Let's see what more record it breaks in the coming days.
