New Delhi, May 26:  Ten years ago Tusshar Kapoor made his Bollywood debut with ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai' and went onto star across varied genres like action and comedy, but the actor says he is a romantic hero at heart.

Despite earning rave reviews for his staid performances in ‘Khaki', ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala' and hitting a six with his comic turn in the ‘Golmaal' series, the 34-year-old actor says he is most comfortable starring in mushy films.

“Golmaal, Shootout..., Khaki were all experiments.  Romantic films is what I call home. I love starring as a romantic hero, be the typical Bollywood star, try to look good and play emotional roles in mushy films,” Tusshar told PTI.  His latest release ‘Love U Mr Kalakaar' is a romantic film and Tusshar feels life has come a full circle.  “I was waiting for a romantic film for a long time and got a good script only last year. ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai' came out in may 2001 and this is May 2011. Life has come a full circle. Thankfully I still look young enough to star as a romantic hero,” he said.

‘Love You Mr Kalakar' has Tusshar playing a painter, unlike ‘Shor In The City', his other release this year, where he played a publisher of pirated books and has local goons as friends. The film earned good reviews and Tusshar says his performance was greatly appreciated.

“I have never had such reviews in my life! People all over have congratulated me for the film. I want to do more films like this,” said Tusshar, who was in the national capital recently to unveil a photo exhibition by Dr Batra.  The actor currently has a number of films in his kitty. He has just begun shooting for ‘Dirty Picture', a film on Southern bombshell Silk Smitha, which has Vidya Balan playing the lead.

“Dirty picture will be out in December. I am playing a writer, Silk Smitha's love interest. He is one of the three men who come into her life,” said Tusshar.  He is also starring in a comedy ‘Run Bhola Run', alongside Govinda.

“Its a comedy of errors kind of film about two convicts who flee from jail, but try to get back inside as it is announced that they are going to be relieved of the charges against them.”The release of ‘Run Bhola Run' is being delayed for reasons unknown to Tusshar, but the actor is looking forward to ‘Hum Tum Aur Shabana', which will be out in August.
