Mumbai: The title of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim's controversial film, ‘MSG -The Messenger of God' has been changed to ‘MSG -The Messenger'. The word ‘God' has been omitted from the title.
The film is all set to realease on Februrary 13. The Film stars the Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. The censor board gave a clearance certificate to the film on Saturday.
The Dera chief followers tweeted late Saturday evening about the change in film's title.
Earlier, Censor Board raised objections on the content of the movie and the manner in which Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh projected himself as a ‘Godman'. The movie was referred to the Board's revising committee, which refused to clear it earlier. The film was also halted amidst the fears of communal tensions.
The movie is based on the theme of eradicating drug addiction, alcoholism, prostitution and other social evils, is scheduled to be released simultaneously in Hindi, English, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu. MSG was shot over 67 days at different locations across the country.
