Mumbai: Actress Deepika Singh, who plays IPS officer Sandhya Rathi in popular soap opera "Diya Aur Bati Hum", got feet burns while shooting for an outdoor sequence in a temple, where she was asked to shoot barefoot.
The upcoming sequence in the TV show, which is inspired by a real life shootout that took place in a temple, will see Sandhya visiting a temple where robbers land up to steal money from there.
"It was a very interesting shoot as after ages I was doing an action sequence. We were shooting in a temple because of which we had to shoot barefoot. After running around the whole day, I realised that there were small blisters on my feet. But I'm very happy with the way the entire sequence is looking," Deepika said in a statement.
"Diya Aur Bati Hum" is aired on Star Plus.
