Comedy Nights with Kapil that one just can't miss out on weekends, apart from the host and comedian Kapil Sharma's gimmick, the entire 'Sharma' family is something to watch out for.

A deadly combination of nation's coolest dadi, naughtiest 'bua' and a good for nothing helper, are like an icing on the cake. And as sweet wife for them is God's way for punishing them through hell, that's at least what host Kapil Sharma believes in.

Ever since 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' was launched on Colors last year, there has been no looking back for host and comedian Kapil Sharma.

Kapil, who is also the producer of the show, has been lauded for his creative concept of presenting 'sketch comedy' to Indian television audiences.

Many may not know but this isn't Kapil's original creation. The format of the show is similar and almost an exact copy of Pakistan's long-forgotten epic sketch comedy 'Bakra Qiston Pay'.

Don't believe us?? Check out these 5 common things between two of most legendary shows...

1. Being stand-up comedians, both hosts Umer Sharif & Kapil Sharma edged out their comedy drama as own entities.

2. The show comprises a large set with live audience and a big family to support the acts.

3. Both Umer and Kapil can't pass off a day without insulting their wives and degrading their in-laws

4. Their helpers or maid are shown to be good for nothing chaps with sole purpose of interfering during the entire act.

5. Each of their acts include appearances by TV actors.
