Bollywood stars glitter at Saif, Kareena wedding reception

New Delhi, Oct 16 : Bollywood stars descended at the Taj Mahal Regal Convention Hall here to attend a wedding reception held to celebrate the wedding of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Noted industrialist Ratan Tata, who owns the Taj group, was personally present to check out security and other arrangements for the wedding reception.Ratan Tata went up to the newly married couple and wished them a happy married life.All the guests who arrived, had to show their invitation cards, as per of security procedure. The guests had been given a wrist band each, which was scanned on computer. The guests were then allowed to proceed to the Regal Ballroom.Among the early guests were, Preity Zinta with her mom, Bonney Kapoor's son Arjun Kapoor and his uncle. Kareena's father Randhir Kapoor and uncle Rajiv Kapoor stood at the gate and received their mother Krishna Raj, sister Ritu Nanda and Amitabh Bachchan's daughter Shweta and her son.Shweta touched Krishna Raj Kapoor's feet and took her blessings. Families of both Kareena and Saif Ali Khan congregated at the convention hall in the vening. The family members included Ranbir Kapoor and his parents Rishi and Nitu, Shammi Kapoor's wife and Karan Johar's mom.Kareena's rakhi brother Karan Johar came with Alyque Padamsee to greet the couple. Kareena's best friend Amrita Arora alongwith sister Malaika Arora Khan and yesteryears heroine Waheeda Rehman also came to the party. A total of 80 select guests from Bollywood and politics were invited to the reception. Fashion designer Sabina Khan designed the lehenga-choli which Kareena wore at today's reception. On the other hand, Manish Malhotra has designed the lehenga-choli for Kareena which she will wear at the reception in Delhi. Today's reception at the Taj will continue till 4 am. After the party, the couple will return to Fortune Heights. On Wednesday, the couple will relax and there will be a small get-together at home in the evening. On Thursday the 18th, the couple will fly to Delhi at noon. A big wedding reception will be held in Delhi the same evening. On Friday the 19th, the couple will leave for Pataudi village after lunch. They will stay there for two days.
