New Delhi: Bigg Boss 8 flight has taken off amid much glitz and glamour. The moment of embarking on a new voyage of ultimate fun and entertainment was witnessed yesterday and it was a total visual treat for all Salman fans.
Not only did we get to see Salman Khan's first ever Kick performance but his terrific one liner and instant gimmicks made us glued to our TV sets. And yes, as we quenched our thrusts of knowing who all are going inside the Bigg Boss 8 house, the show also introduced us to a new format.
But, before the flight could take off, the contestants were asked to leave their foot prints outside. And what else than a selfie can satiate a feeling of being remembered always!
Thus, all the celebs had their #BB8 selfie with their personalized notes before they entered into the coveted Bigg Boss aircraft cum house.
Here follows a few pics, take a look!
Finally after much wait the eighth edition of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss took off last night amidst much pomp and fanfare.
The actor Salman Khan was introduced as ‘Captain Salman Khan'. And the captain was accompanied by a lovely fight attendant Elli Avram.
He was looking dapper as he turned up in pilot avatar and danced to his Kick numbers.
The Dabangg Khan performed on hit songs like ‘Hangover' and ‘Jumme Ki Raat' from his latest movie 'Kick'.
The host welcomes the first contestant - television actress Karishma Tanna and Sonali Raut through this performance.
The show was a grand event with lots of naach-ganna. Sunil Grover made an entry wearing his trademark salwar kurta, dark glasses staying loyal to his TV character 'Gutthi
Both Salman and Gutthi had some hilarious moments on stage.
While last year, the show's theme was 'Heaven & Hell', this time around the producers seem to have aimed for the skies.
With 12 contestants from different walks of life, which include not-so-successful Bollywood actors Arya Babbar, Minissha Lamba, and Upen Patel and television's faded star Karishma Tanna, entering the house, one can look forward to a high dose of entertainment.
Natasha Stankovic, Praneet Bhat, Sonali Raut, Soni Singh, Sukirti Kandpal, Diandra Soares and Gautam Gulati will too join them and spice up the activities in the house, known for its controversies, high octane melodramas, acrimonious fights and scandalous affairs.
The presence of model Sushant Divgikar, who will represent LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community, is expected to heighten the drama.
A secret society is formed in the house, which will have three members and these 3 contestants will not face nomination and hence safe from eviction.
The power to control the housemates lies in the secret society - in other words to crack the whip.
So Bigg Boss 8 has finally taken off with 15 contestants and we hope to see loads of madness, drama, tempers flying and romance brewing.
The house for the eighth season is located in Lonavla and has been designed to resemble a jumbo aircraft.
With the interior of an airplane, the house is also said to have a waiting lounge and separate sections for Business and Economy classes.
Like the past seasons, this time also, inmates are expected to plot, plan and do politicking for their survival, but Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will keep an eye on their activities as the host and ensure that they do not do anything outrageous or disgraceful.
In a teaser from the second episode, one can find Upen trying to strike a romantic chord with co-inmate Sukirti Kandpal, who is very much single.
