Big Bollywood weddings of 2012

New Delhi: Marriages are made in heaven, says the old adage, and this year the stars on the Bollywood firmament were busy hooking up for the rest of their lives. Though the biggest wedding was that of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, we give you the list of five big weddings in Bollywood in 2012: 1. Genelia and Ritesh Deshmukh---- This was the first celebrity wedding of this year.Bollywood actor Ritesh Deshmukh married his sweetheart of eight years in February. There was a Maharashtrian wedding, a church wedding and a reception that was held. Celebrities like Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Bipasha Basu, Shilpa Shetty, and the entire Bachchan family came to wish the couple. 2. Ram Charan Teja and Upasana Kamineni--- Son of superstar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan Teja married his childhood sweetheart Upasana Kamineni at a grand ceremony in Hyderabad on June 14.Their wedding was attended by biggies like Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi. 3. Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani ---Hema Malini's daughter Esha Deol tied the knot with diamond merchant Bharat Takhtani on 30th june at the Hare Rama Hare Krishna temple. The couple had been dating for quite some time before they eventually tied the knot. Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Kumar, Anu Malik, Rani Mukherjee ,Vyjayanthimala and Fardeen Khan were seen at the wedding. But her step brothers Sunny and Bobby Deol were not present at the wedding. 4. Saif and Kareena Kapoor---The much-awaited wedding of Saif Ali Khan and actress Kareena Kapoor finally took place this year after ending their five-year courtship. Saif, 42, and Kareena, 32, completed the formalities in the presence of close friends and family at the actor's residence at Fortune Heights in suburban Bandra . Guests included Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra and many, many Kapoors. 5.Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur---- Vidya and Siddharth were the last Bollywood couple who got married this year.The couple organized a private wedding attended by close family relatives and friends.No guests from the film industry were present. The entire set-up and decoration as well as the food were Tamil style.
