New Delhi: The ‘angry young man' and the Shehenshah of Bollywood – Amitabh Bachchan has completed 46 years in the industry. On the occasion of completing four decades, Big B himself has let the world known that accomplished he feels after spending so much of time in the industry.
February 15 was the date when Amitabh Bachchan marked his debut as a commentator in India vs Pakistan match this year. And why this date holds a special significance for Big B is because 46 yeas back in 1969, he signed his first Bollywood flick ‘Saat Hindustani'.
Yes, the actor has accomplished 46 years in Bollywood and sharing the happiness the legendary actor took to twitter and wrote, “15th Feb .. !! historic date for me .. on this date 46 years ago in 1969, I signed my 1st film to join the Film Industry”
Senior Bachchan was then 26 and after being rejected by All India Radio for his voice, which is an epitome now, got his first break as an actor in Khwaja Ahmed Abbas' directorial. The patriotic flick, which also co-starred co-starring Utpal Dutt and A K Hangal won a National Award and also opened Bollywood doors for Big B.
There after his streak of hits is known to the world. Anand, Zanjeer, Sholay, Kabhie Kabhie, Shehenshah, Paa Cheeni Kum are amongst his paramount works.
After 46 years now, the megastar continues to rule with his active participation in movies and we hope he carries on like this for many more years to come.
