New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Happy New Year is on a record breaking spree these days and while Abhishek Bachchan too is getting rave response for his performance in the movie, mom Jaya Bachchan didn't liked the flick and has termed it as a ‘non-sensical' film.
The damage was done by the veteran lady at the film festival where she said that, she had told blatantly to the lead actor of the movie Happy New Year- Shah Rukh Khan alongside her son who tickled the funny bone of the audience, that she didn't like the movie at all.
“I told him he's (Abhishek) a great actor if he can act stupid in front of the camera like that. I can't be part of what is being done in films these days and hence I don't do films anymore”, said Jaya in an interview to a leading daily.
The Bachchan family watched the movie together only because it starred Jr B in a pivotal role. It doesn't matter she said it jokingly but the words haven't pleased King Khan and apparently the family members including Amitabh Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya and son Abhishek are on the verge to cheer up the miffed actor.
According to a leading daily, Big B even sent a text message apologizing for what his wife said during a press meet while Abhi and Aishwarya went to Shah Rukh's house for the same however, they were only greeted by his wife Gauri since SRK was out of the town.
It may be recalled that Khan and Rai cut their birthday cake together on November 4, amidst their family gathering.
Jaya Bachchan and Shah Rukh have worked together in Karan Johar's ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham'. So will Rahul forgive his mom? We would have to wait for that.
