'Barfi' boy Ranbir turns 30 today

New delhi, Sep 28: Sweetening each spectators' mouth with delicious “Barfee”, Ranbir Kapoor has turned 30 today and is looking in a fine tune to move ahead.Born to a filmy family, Ranbir is the son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor and is named after his grandfather Raj Kapoor whose full name was Ranbir Raj Kapoor but has created his own distinct identity with his class and devotion towards his profession.Stepping his foot into B'wood with Sanjay Leela Bhansali “Saawariya”, actor became the new heart-throb kid for the millions. The skill of acting and innocent look won millions of hearts. The era of Kapoors was back. Though the two cousins Karishma and Kareena have made their mark but a male actor from the Kapoors was nowhere in the industry for years. The flick was disaster at the box Office but Saawariya boy stood out with his performance and won Best debutant title at numerous award ceremonies.The other debutant Deepika Padukone in the same year too won Award for the best Debutant. It was just a token of appreciation for these two future superstars. Nothing hidden from the admirers, the two actors were dating eachother and were looking in a relationship. During those hours the duo was working for Yash Raj's “Bachana Ae Haseenno” alongside Bipasha Basu and Minissha Lamba. Holding eachother's hands, kissing and hugging publicly created more buzz in B'town. The story gained more limelight when it was revealed that the two were going to marry eachother but soon all went cold, as Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor rubbished the reports. Bachana Ae Haseeno was a semi-hit at the Box –Office. Later in 2009, the actor had three flicks to work in. ‘Wake up Sid' was considered to be Rabir's fine performance. The spoilt Sid looking for a motive in life , ends with a perfect harmony between art and living. The flick was a hit and made Ranbir stand amongst the contenders for the Best actor at numerous Award ceremonies.Opposite Katrina Kaif in “Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani” Ranbir revealed his loving and funny side. The comedy flick surfaced as one of the biggest hits of the year.Claiming selling to be the toughest job in the world, Ranbir once again was critically acclaimed for his fine performance in “Rocket Singh-Salesman of the year”, though the flick proved to be below average at the Box Office.It was a big surprise for each of Ranbir's fans when they watched him in Prakash Jha's political drama “Rajneeti”, where the Actor looked in a totally different Avatar. A critic admired the actor saying "The film finally belongs to Ranbir Kapoor who perfects the art of minimalism – and literally grows before your eyes – as the simmering volcano that cannot be held back, once it erupts. He's as grey and soot-filled, as volcanoes go."The 2011 belonged to “Rockstar” with Ranbir's rock solid performance. The flick totally belonged to the actor. A fine act starring from his foolishness till he ends with the stage show at Prague humming ‘Nadaan Parinde', claimed Ranbir the Best Actor Award at numerous Award ceremonies including Filmfares. This year Ranbir again seems to give a tough competition at award function with a classic performance in “Barfee”. His performance is highly acclaimed and has made into the race of Oscars.
