New Delhi: Ashraf-ul-Haq's sad demise has shaken the film industry. And while every other star friend of the actor is expressing his/her grief, director Anurag Kashyap has expressed concern about the 9-year-old son of Haq.

In his statement to a leading daily, the director said "I worked with him quite often as he was a terrific actor. I was aware of his illness and we knew that his health was fast deteriorating. We were all there for him and it's truly tragic that he had to depart so soon. Our priority now is to take care of his 9-year-old son."

Anurag who himself happens to be a father of a daughter also recalled how he shared his struggling days in the industry with the actor. “He was one of my closest friends and we knew each other since our struggling days. From my TV show to short-films to features, I worked with him quite often as he was a terrific actor,” said Anurag.

Ashraf-ul-Haq has proved his mettle of acting by doing over 30 plays and 30 movies in which the names of ‘Company,' ‘Paan Singh Tomar,' ‘Delhi Belly,' ‘Black Friday,' ‘Fukrey' are prominent.

The actor got high popularity after playing a suspicious and interesting character who helps Pulkit Samrat during the film's climax in ‘Fukrey.' Elaborating around his feelings, Pulkit said "It's tragic. His work has always been worth learning from. May God bless his soul."

And actress Richa Chaddha who also rose to the fame by working in the similar film quoted, "The industry has lost him too soon. I wasn't aware that he was unwell. To me, he will always be Smakiya, the guy who selflessly helped every Fukra."

Ashraf was suffering from a rare disorder called Myelodysplastic Syndrome but despite being on verge of getting recovered, he couldn't survive the disease.

Well, we wish the soul rests in peace and that fortune awaits his family!
