Mumbai: Arjun Rampal has denied reports that he plans to produce a biopic under his banner Chasing Ganesha Films, saying it is not happening in the near future.
"That is not true at all. I have had scripts of biopics lying with me. I am not doing a biopic, I want to clear that," Arjun told IANS.
Arjun, who had produced and acted in "I See You", which had failed to impress moviegoers, will take a plunge into production business once the right team is in place.
"I would love to do production. I have two to three scripts, which are ready. If you want to make a good film, you have to have a good team and a good story. When I go into production, I have to make sure that my team is good," said.
But now it's not mandatory for him to act in his production ventures.
"If a film does not require me as an actor, if I feel that the film is very good and I have the means to produce it, then I will," said the actor, who won the National Award for best supporting actor to play a brooding musician in "Rock On!".
The 40-year-old gets ample support from his wife Mehr Jesia in the production house work.
Praising his wife, Arjun said: "She is wonderful to work with. Everyone loves her when she is on the set. She takes care of everyone."
