New Delhi: As expected, Anushka Sharma's ‘NH10' hasn't got a flying start at box office but still is been better than many women-centric movies released in recent times.

Vidya Balan's Kahaani, Kangana Ranaut's Queen and Tanu Weds Manu, Rani Mujerji's ‘Mardaani' are behind this crime-thriller. NH10 on Day 1 claimed Rs 3.35 cr nett in India while on second day it witnessed a good jump and made Rs 4.50 cr. The two days collection of this Navdeep Singh directorial stands at Rs 7.85 cr nett in India, according to trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.

“NH10 witnesses an upward trend on Day 2. Fri 3.35 cr, Sat 4.50 cr. Total: Rs 7.85 cr. India biz”, tweets Adarsh.

Since, the movie isn't a multi-starrer and has been rated ‘A' by the censor board, it is mostly relying on positive word of mouth. The kind of growth it has witnessed in its collection on Saturday hints that the movie will give a consistent performance in the coming days too.

The aforementioned movies too became sleeper hits however, for now in comparison to their opening day collection, NH10 has fared better. Queen garnered Rs 1.75 cr on Day 1, Kahaani collected Rs 3 cr on its opening day, Tanu Weds Manu and Mardaani made Rs 3.2 cr and Rs 3.3 cr respectively.

Until Sushant Singh Rajput's ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi' on April 3rd, there aren't any big releases. This should give movie more than two weeks of a competition-free market.

NH10 that is made at a budget of Rs 13 cr will easily recover that investment amount by Monday. Let's see how it performs thereafter!
