New Delhi: The entire B-town is in the limelight these days ever since the ‘intolerant India' campaign and award wapsi movement were launched.
In recent times, we have seen the Bollywood industry splitting into two parts - one which is seen complaining about the rise of intolerance in the country and later supporting the award wapsi movement, and the second one which denies that there is any rise in intolerance.
Recently, the issue once again sparked up, after Aamir Khan said that he and his wife Kiran Rao had thought of leaving India as Kiran was scared for their child because of the atmosphere in the country.
While the actor's statement received a mixed response from everyone, veteran actor Anupam Kher has lashed out at Aamir for giving such a statement.
Anupam took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express his views on Aamir's statement and in a series of tweets slammed the actor quite hard.
In the first tweet, Anupam asked Aamir if he had told Kiran that it is this country that has made him the ‘Aamir Khan'.
His next tweet came up with another intense question on why Aamir didn't react in worse times and why he didn't think of moving out then.
Anupam also questioned Aamir over his ‘Incredible India' campaign, wondering since when the ‘incredible' country became ‘intolerant' for him.
The veteran actor also hit out at Aamir, asking whether moving out is the only option for millions of Indians even if the country is ‘intolerant'.
In the last tweet, Anupam even urged the ‘PK' star to spread hope and not fear in the country.
This is not the first time that Anupam Kher has taken a stand on the issue. In fact the veteran actor also led a protest rally ‘March for India' to Rashtrapati Bhavan against the ‘intolerant India' campaign and the award wapsi movement.
